Belching Home Remedies










What is Belching?

Belching is a process of discharge gases from the stomach. It is otherwise called Burping and commonly found in adults as well as small children. A typical sound and bad odor can be release from the digestive system through mouth. It creates an embarrassing situation for a person. Generally, an extra gas will run away from the stomach, pass through the esophagus and come out the mouth. Belching or bumping also form as a habit of many people. Belching reduces the abdomen of uneasiness due to the excess air. While belching it does not allow any liquid or solid food go into the lungs. It is not limited to any specific group of people. The symptoms of belching are burping sounds and the odor associated with burping.

Causes of Belching

The main causes of belching are due to having food very fast so that air is consumed in the process that is called habitual air swallowing, some diseases in the digestive organs such as pancreas, stomach, intestines. Also for certain disorder such as Gastro esophageal reflux disease may cause spontaneous burping. Overeating, fasting, fatness, pregnancy, stomach acid deficiency, Food fanaticism, Hernias, Emotional pressure or stimulation are the other causes of belching. Apart from that consumption of carbonated drinks such as soft drinks, champagne, beer may causes burping.

Home remedies for Belching

Some of the useful home remedies are given below.

Try to avoid chewing gum and other carbonated drinks.

Take soup half an hour before meal. It will help in digestion.

Drink water with two to three drops of mint essence every day for 15 days. Mint helps to digest food in the human intestines. It is a best remedy for Belching.

Take herbal tea prepared by using blackberry, raspberry, mint and chamomile. It helps in making digestion effective and it is a very good home remedy for Belching.

Wringing little fenugreek seeds in water overnight and drinking it early in the morning with an empty stomach is best for Belching.

Avoid alcohol especially those suffering from constant or excess belching.

Yoga and Pranayam is the exclusive treatment for Belching. Try to do yoga regularly.

Have ginger tea after having meal. It also helps to make digestion properly.

One of the simplest and effective treatments for burping is take glass of water with some baking soda. It gives you an instant relief.

A bud of garlic swallowed with water in empty stomach checks out gas problems as well as improves the digestion .
