Home Remedies for Canker Sores










Canker Sore is not like eruptions which commonly seem outside the lips or corners of the mouth. These are very painful sores in the mouth. It is appear as red or white covering over the mouth. Canker Sores are also referred as aphthous ulcer or oral ulcer. Commonly it occurs in the internal part of the cheeks or lips, bottom of the gums or under the tongue. Canker sores are very painful but not so infectious.

Causes of canker sores

Canker Sores are commonly caused due to poor diets, tiredness or stressed. So it occurs in the mouth of the student at the time of examination. It may also take place due to a slight injury in you mouth. It causes due to some foods like spicy dishes or citrus fruits. Medical science suggests those people who are suffering from canker sore for taking certain medicines. Heredity is one of the major factors for causing canker sores.

Symptoms of Canker Sores

Canker Sores are looking like a small ulcer which can be seems in the inner part of your mouth and cheeks, tongue, throat, on your gums. It causes severe pain when the ulcers become explode. The other symptoms of canker sores are fever and tiredness. This can be lasting for 10 to 15 days.

Home remedies for Canker sores

The best home remedies for canker sores are as follows.

  • Gargle 3-4 times a day with a coconut milk. It is the effective home remedy for canker sore.
  • Boil two cup of water by adding one cup fenugreek leaves to it. Leave it for sometime for cooling and after that filter the water. Then gargle two to three times a day. It will beneficial for you while having canker sore.
  • Alternately gargle with hot and cold water. It is also very useful process of canker sores.
  • Boil a cup of water with one tea spoon of coriander leaves. Strain it ad gargle three to four times a day.
  • By sucking or chewing the papaya tablets in more number of time canker sores can be cleared.
  • Apply raw onion on the sores. It cleans a little in the mouth due to the spicy nature of onion.
  • Add three parts of water with one part of hydrogen peroxide. Then hiss this solution in your mouth for 30 to 60 seconds and split it. Repeat this process for three to four times a day. This helps for killing the bacteria.
