Natural and Home Remedies Guide
Home Remedies for Earache
Earache is a condition that is predominant in children than in adults. The fungi and bacteria invade the ear region resulting in a condition called earache. Earache is a non communicable disease as it cannot be transmitted from the patient to others unlike fever or flu that is highly communicable. Earache can be caused either in the regions of the middle or the external ear. It has been observed that the occurrence of earache is frequent during the night than during the daytime. The reason for this phenomenon is that when a person lies down the usage of the throat muscles are halted. As a result of this halting, the Eustachian tube gets more congested ultimately resulting in earache.
Causes of Earache
The exact cause of earache is the obstruction in the Eustachian tube. The Eustachian tube equalizes the atmospheric pressure on both the sides of the eardrum. The occurrence and treatment of earache were known from ancient times, since there are records of ayurvedic treatments for earache. Swimming, cold, dust particles, improper diet, allergies, sinus and unrest are all causes of earache. Though there are various types of earaches, the major symptoms are quite similar. Ear pain, redness, ear itching, hearing problems, discharge of a certain liquid from the ear, giddiness and fever are the prominent symptoms of earache.
