Home Remedies for Freckles










What is Freckles?

Freckles are the very small flat, round and brownish colored spot on the face. There are two types of freckles ephelides and lentigines. Ephelids occur during summer and fade away in winter, but lentigines do not fade in winter. The color of lentigines is darker than ephelides. Sometimes the freckles are look big in size by overlapping each other. Some person’s face the freckles stay for long time where as in some faces it appears for sometimes. Freckles are generally found in young age.

Symptoms of Freckles

The common symptoms of freckles are small red or brownish colored spot appears on the skin, irritation on skin, the skin becomes rough and flaking, appearance of red hair, pain in abdomen, diarrhea, and loss of weight.

Causes of Freckles

Generally freckles are causes due to heavy sunlight, hereditary factors, melanin (skin pigment), skin cancer, hormonal disorder. Fair skin is also a factor of freckles, because there is less melanin in fair skin for absorbing sun rays.

Home Remedies for Freckles

Some of the useful home remedies for freckles are as follows.

Prepare a paste of mint leaves with one banana. Apply this paste over your face except your eyes regularly. It is a good home remedy for removing freckles.

Regular applications of fruits and vegetables packs like cucumber, strawberries, red currant are very muck effective for skin.

Soak four to five almonds throughout the night and the grind it with milk. Apply this paste on your face. This is very much effective and useful for dry skin.

Apply fresh butter milk on your face and after sometime wash your face by warm water. It is one of the best home treatments for freckles and pimples.

Apply lemon juice on the affected area. It helps to remove the dark spots from the skin.

Rub a slice of onion on the affected area. It is also a good home remedy for removing freckles.

Apply castor oil on your face before sleeping. It is also useful remedy for freckles.

Take a table spoon of lentils and soak it for one night. In the next morning grind it with milk and then put this paste on your face. This is a good treatment for removing freckles from oily skin.

Make a paste with yellow mustard and milk. Apply this paste on your face at night and keep it. Wash your face in the morning. This is also very effective for skin.
