Home Remedies for Flatulence

Flatulence occurs normally within the gastrointestinal tract, yet many patients complain of flatulence. The complaint of flatulence has no uniform connotation. Some patients mean that they make noisy releasing gas too much; some experiences with abdominal uneasiness and characteristic it to flatulence, others observe the amount of flatus passed extremely.

Flatulence Causes and Symptoms

Patients with flatulence symptoms may complain of noisy releasing gas, abdominal pain and swelling or of excessive flatus. Also, there is considerable overlap in the patients who complain of flatulence and swelling and those with irritable bowel syndrome.

Flatulence, is something that we all have to deal with at some point or another. In fact, many of us do it at least once a day. So what is flatulence you ask? Maybe you know it better as passing wind or passing gas. This is, of course, considered to be very embarrassing to do in public. It is something that everyone does, though. Most of the time, people can control their own gas. Other times, you can not control it, and you have to just lit it rip. Either way, flatulence is a normal bodily function. Some people look into stopping flatulence, but it is not something that you need to stop. Only when it becomes over-the-top does it get coined as a disease. If you can not go a few minutes without passing gas, then you could have a problem. The good news is, there are some flatulence remedies out there you can try.

Flatulence is the emission of a mixture of gases called ‘flatus’ present in the intestine. This gas is produced by symbiotic bacteria and yeasts found in the gastrointestinal tract. Flatus is usually released under pressure through the anus which creates sound and is often accompanied by a foul odor. Flatulence, many a times causes discomfort and pain due to bloating, not to mention social embarrassment.
